LNGE was born in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, around a busy family, a big idea and a simple belief — the clothes you live in should feel just as good as they look.

We’re a family of eight, so life here is rarely quiet. It’s school runs, sport, work, weekends away, coffee on the go, days at home and everything in between. We wanted clothing that could keep up with all of it.

And that’s where LNGE began.

Pronounced “lounge”, LNGE was created to bring together premium comfort and effortless everyday style. Pieces you can throw on for the school run, wear to the kids’ sport, travel in, work from home in or live in all weekend — without feeling like you’ve sacrificed how you look.

LNGE isn’t a huge company with a boardroom full of people making decisions.

It’s us.

A family building something from the ground up, with our kids very much along for the ride.

They’ve watched samples arrive, given their opinions on designs, tried things on, helped with photos and seen firsthand just how much work goes into turning an idea into something real.

There have been plenty of changes along the way too. We’ve rejected things that weren’t good enough, changed direction when something didn’t feel right and learnt very quickly that we would rather take longer and create something we’re genuinely proud of than settle.

LNGE began at home in the Macedon Ranges, and one of the biggest decisions we made early in our journey was to bring our production closer to home.

Our Australian-developed direction is about more than putting a label on a garment.

It means working closely with people here in Australia, having greater involvement in what we create and building LNGE in a way that reflects the kind of brand we want it to become.

We’re incredibly proud that something dreamed up by our family in regional Victoria is now being brought to life here in Australia.
